High School Tutoring
Courses at the high school level require a more specialized type of tutoring. Students in these grades usually need support with a better understanding of the course material, learning how to utilize note-taking more effectively, getting organized and staying ahead of the material and/or improving their study and test-taking techniques.
What are your high school tutors’ qualifications?
Our tutors are high school teachers who have subject-specific qualifications and a deep understanding of the material and course expectations. As teachers, they are also equipped with strategies and tools to support teens with the skillsets needed to excel in the course.
How will the online tutoring help my teen?
Our tutors are experienced in engaging students through virtual platforms. They create relevant lessons, using our interactive tutoring platform, to ensure that students understand the material regardless of their location.
Using the course outline and/or overview from your child’s classroom teacher, our tutor will create learning goals with your teen outlining which areas they will be focusing on during their sessions. From experience, we have found that involving the teen in the creation of the learning goals helps build their confidence, feel prepared for class, and hold them accountable in between sessions.
What is the purpose of the FREE Meet and Greet?
The purpose of the Meet and Greet is to meet the tutor so they can learn about your goals and give their recommendations on how you will accomplish them together.
